who Are We

Sudanese knowledge Society (SKS) is a body that embraces the notions of knowledge and knowledge management for the benefit of organizations, communities and individuals. Members are from various backgrounds and age groups, all working towards a common goal of creating a knowledge society in Sudan. SKS is a cultural association registered at the Ministry of Culture-Sudan , with registration number (454).

Goal

Our goal is to serve as a catalyst in the transformation of Sudan into a knowledge society which is a source of human and sustainable development.

Objectives

Fostering knowledge sharing and Networking among the Sudanese society (KM as Culture)

Raising awareness of KM and building the capacities among the different segments of society (KM as Science)

Mapping for sources of knowledge in Sudan (KM as Application)

Stackholders

Initial SKS stakeholders may include Universities teaching KM, Organizations or businesses implementing KM, and Workshop organizers and participants. This include: KMCA2012 Conferences organizers/sponsors, NGO,Government, International Organizations, Academia: Universities and research center, Media, Individuals who have interest on Knowledge management,Private Sector, Voluntary groups and initiatives

SKS achievements

SKS organize different types of activities and events seminars, forums, open days, training courses, workshops and conferences, to contribute to building the capacity of its members and reach out to the wider community to realize its vision for Sudan as a prosperous knowledge society.
